Ahmadiyya and the Holy Quran distorting translations to support their claims

We present to our readers a reproduction of an article evaluating the english translations of the Holy Quran. Of particular interest is the section about Ahmadiyya/Qadiani translations . This section explains how Ahmadiyya even distorts the translation of the Holy Quran to support the Ahmadiyya claims.

ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS OF THE HOLY QUR'AN An Annotated Bibliography by A.R. Kidwai

Before the fairly recent publication of the massive World Bibliography of The Translations of The Meanings of The Holy Qur'an (Istanbul, OIC Research Center, 1986), it was hard to even track down the material on the translations of the Holy Qur'an in various languages. Nonetheless, since the Bibliography is not annotated, the reader gets no idea about the translations make-up, his dogmatic presuppositions and his approach to the Qur'an, as well as the quality of the translation. The present annotated bibliography, taking into account only complete English translations to date, attempts to answer some of the above questions. In preparing the bibliography I received all possible help from the Islamic Foundation, Leicester (UK), which is thankfully acknowledged.

By Muslims 1905-59 By Muslims 1960-86 By Non-Muslims, Qadiyanis, 1917-70 By Other Non-Muslims, 1649-1956

BY MUSLIMS, 1905-59

1905 Khan, Mohammad Abul Hakim, The Holy Qur'an, (Patiala, 1905), 2 edns. Subtitle: 'With short notes based on the Holy Qur'an or the authentic traditions of the Prophet (pbuh), or/and New Testaments or scientific truth. All fictitious romance, questionable history, and disputed theories have been carefully avoided. A physician by profession, Abul Hakim Khan was not thoroughly versed in Islam. Initially he had Qadyani leanings which he later recanted. His translation is more of a rejoinder to the anti-Islam missionary propaganda rife in the day than a piece of sound Qur'anic scholarship. Contains scant notes. His translation is badly marred by literalism.

1912 Dehlawi Mirza Hairat (ed.), The Koran: Prepared by Various Oriental Learned Scholars and Edited by Mirza Hairat (Delhi, 1912). 2 edns. Though intended as 'a complete and exhaustive reply to the manifold criticisms of the Koran by various Christian authors such as Drs. Sale, Rodwell, Palmer and Sir W. Muir', it contains little material to justify this claim. Verses numbered part-wise instead of Sura-wise. The language used in the translation is quite weak.

1912 Abu'l Fadl, Mirza, The Qur'an Translated into English from the Original Arabic (Allahabad, 1912). 3 edns. Dedicated to Sultan Jahan Begum, [Lady] ruler of Bhopal [India]. References to the Bible with a view to bringing out the superiority of the Qur'an. Refutation of the missionary views in a casual manner. Includes few notes.

1930 Pickthall, Muhammad Marmaduke William, The Meaning of the Glorious Qur'an (London, 1930). At least 27 edns. One of the most widely used translations done by an English man of letters who accepted Islam. Faithfully represents the sense of the original. His use of the Biblical English, however, tends to be a stumbling block for an average reader. Too brief notes on the cir*****stantial setting of the Suras and the Qur'anic allusions hence not very helpful for an uninitiated reader of the Qur'an.

1934-37 Ali Abdullah Yusuf, The Holy Qur'an: Translation and Commentary (Lahore, 1934-37). At least 35 edns. Another extremely popular translation. Written in style and couched in chaste English, it stands out above other translations as a highly readable rendering of the Qur'an into English. Copious notes are reflective of Yusuf Ali's vast learning. Nonetheless, some of his notes, particularly, on the Qur'anic eschatology and angelology smack of apologia and pseudo-rationalism. Sufistic bias is also quite marked in his notes. (For a detailed discussion on Yusuf Ali's unorthodox views, please see Kidwai, A.R., 'Abdullah Yusuf Ali's Views on the Qur'anic Eschatology', Muslim World League Journal 12 (5) February 1985, pp. 14-17).

1941-57 Daryabadi, Abdul Majid, The Holy Qur'an with English Translation and Commentary (Lahore, 1941-57). At least 4 edns. A faithful, though largely unacknowledged, translation.

BY MUSLIMS, 1960-86

1962 Jullundri, Ali Ahmad Khan, Translation of the Glorious Holy Qur'an with Commentary (Lahore, 1962). 3 edns. The translator boastfully entitles his work as 'After few centuries a True and Easy translation of the Glorious Holy Qur'an'. Marred by numerous mistakes of translation. Appended to the translation is a lengthy appendix dealing with diverse topics in a bizarre way, heaps abuses in the Saudi rulers and slights the role of Sunna. A simply unreadable work.

1964 Ali, S.V. Ahmad, The Holy Qur'an with English Translation and Commentary according to the version of the Holy Ahlul Bait. With special notes from Ayatullah Agha Haji Mirza Mahdi Pooya Yazdi (Karachi, 1964). 3 edns. Vindicates on the authority of the Qur'an itself such sectarian doctrines of Shias as Imamat, Muta'a (temporary marriage), the nomination of Ali as the Prophet's successor, Taqqiyya (hiding the faith), Tabarra (cursing), and mourning in the month of Muharram. Invectives used against both the Umayyad and Abbasid rulers. Strongly refutes the view that the Shias believe in the alteration (Tahreef) of the Qur'an.

1966 Tariq, Abdur Rahman and Gilani, Ziauddin, The Holy Qur'an: Rendered into English (Lahore, 1966). l edn. An explanatory translation supplemented by brief notes, without the Arabic text. Though this translation is in consonance with the orthodox Muslim viewpoint, its language and presentation leave a lot to be desired.

1969 Latif, Syed Abdul, al-Qur'an: Rendered into English (Hyderabad, 1969). 1 edn. Apart from the translation of the Qur'an, Syed Abdul Latif also rendered Abul Kalam Azad's incomplete Urdu tafsir The Tarjuman al-Allah into English. Devoid of notes and the text, this translation does not advance much one's understanding of the Qur'an. At best, it represents the author's pious enthusiasm to undertake a noble enterprise.

1974 Ali, Hashim Amir, The Message of the Qur'an Presented in Perspective (Tokyo, 1974). 1 edn. In his zeal to bring out the thematic unity of the Qur'an, the translator has devised a new Sura order, re-arranging the Suras under the following five sections which he calls as the five 'books' of the Qur'an: Book I - The Portal, al-Fatihah; Book II - The Enlightenment, ar-Ruh, 18 earliest Meccan Suras; Book III - The Guidance, al-Huda, 36 early Meccan Suras; Book IV -The Book, al-Kitab, 36 late Meccan Suras; and Book V - The Balance, al-Mizan, 24 Medinite Suras. Going a step further, he has made up 600 sections of the Text, in place of the standard 558 sections, for, what he calls, perspective purposes. In making a mess of the Sura and ruku order of the Qur'an, it does not occur to Hashim Amir Ali that the thematic unity of the Qur'an has been quite remarkably demonstrated by some exegetes without disturbing the traditional arrangements of the Qur'an. The level of translation is, however, fairly good.

1977 al-Hilalai, Taquiuddin and Khan, Muhammad Muhsin, Explanatory English Translation of the Meaning of the Holy Qur'an (Chicago, 1977). 2 edns. It is, in fact, a summarized English version of Ibn Kathir's exegesis, supplemented by al-Tabri's, with comments from Sahih al-Bukhari. Both the translators have been introduced as Salafi (traditional followers of the way of the prophet). The translation is intended to 'present the meanings of the Qur'an which the early Muslims had known'.

1979 Ahmad, Muhammad Mofassir, The Koran: The First Tafsir in English (London, 1979). 1 edn. Explanatory notes have been interpolated into the translated text. It marks a serious deviation from the norms of the Qur'anic exegesis in that it would open the floodgate for presenting any material as the translation of the Text itself. Grossly misinterprets several Qur'anic terms. For example, al-Ghayb (the Unseen) is rendered as the 'consequence of one's action'.

1980 Muhammad Asad, The Message of The Qur'an (Gibraltar, 1980). l edn. Translated in chaste, idiomatic English by a convert from Judaism to Islam. However, it contains some serious departures from the orthodox viewpoint on a number of Qur'anic statements. Asad appears to be reluctant to accept the literal meaning of some Qur'anic verses. For example, he doubts the throwing of Ibrahim into fire, Jesus speaking in the cradle; refers to Khidr and Dhulqarnain as mythical figures and expresses unconventional views on abrogation (Naskh) theory. (For details please see Arfaque Malik's review in the Muslim World Book Review, Vol. 1, No. 1 (1980), pp. 5-7

1980 Zayid, Mahmud Y. (checked and revised) in collaboration with a committee of Muslim scholars, The Qur'an: An English Translation of the Meaning of the Qur'an (Beirut, 1980). Based mainly on a Jew, N.J. Daud's English translation of the Qur'an hence repeats the mistakes of mistranslation that mar Daud's translations. In the supplement on Muslim religious practices and law both the Sunni and Shia doctrines have been presented.

1981 Sarwar, Sheikh Muhammad, The Holy Qur'an: Arabic Text and English Translation (Elmhurst, 1981). l edn. Without any notes this explanatory translation paraphrases the contents of the Qur'an in a lucid style.

1982 Shakir, M.M., Holy Qur'an (New York 1982). An example of blatant plagiarism in that about 90% of this English translation has been verbatim copied from Muhammad Ali Lahori's English translation of the Qur'an. Though it does not contain any notes, the Shia doctrines have been indicated in the Subject index of the Qur'an with pointed reference to the Qur'anic verses in order to give the impression that such Shia doctrines as Imamat, Ali as the chosen one, martyrdom of Hussain, khums, Masoom (the infallible ones) and Vali occur in the Qur'an itself.

Alterations in Holy Quran

by Mirza Ghulam of Qadian

by

Dr. Syed Rashid Ali

Ahmadiyya Movement and its adherents have been denying for a long time that the founder of their movement, Mirza Ghulam, has ever made any alteration in the Holy Quran. A Qadiani follower recently wrote on a usenet newsgroup, alt.religion.islam:

> And what evidence do you have that Ahmadis have changed the Qur'an,

> despite Allah Almighty promising that the Holy Qur'an will be protected

> [15:9]?? I'm telling you that the mullahs have lied to you, and I am not

> accusing them without reason. It is a fact that they tell lies. I have no

> desire to accuse anyone of anything wrong. But I know it as a fact that

> there is only one Qur'an, of 114 suras. If the Qur'an of the mullahs is

> different, well, again, our Qur'an is the one revealed by Muhammad s.a.w.

> The mullahs tell you lies. I am stating the truth. And I am fed up with

> their blatant lies. There has to be a limit, and they have crossed it and

> left it faaaar behind.

In this article, I will InshaAllah explode this myth. We will see that whether Mullahs have been lying blatantly for the last 100 years or whether there is deliberate attempt to cover-up these facts by successive generations of Qadiani/Ahmadi followers and their leaders.

Alterations can be done in several ways:

Alteration in the Original Arabic textAlteration in the Meanings of QuranAlteration in the application of various Verses of Holy Quran.

Close scrutiny of the writings of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad tell us that he had been guilty of doing all three acts of desecration. Now let me provide proof of my statements.

Alteration in the Text of Holy Quran

To see just one proof of alteration in the text of Holy Quran, just browse to the following sites which contain scanned pages from the books of Mirza Ghulam and you will see the proof. Note that this alteration in the original text of Quran has now been corrected in the recent edition of Mirza's books;

Scanned Images: T1 | T2 | T3 | T4 | T5 | T6 | T7 | T8 | T9 | T10 | T11 | T12 | T13 |

Browse to these links and you will discover an example of such alteration in the Original Arabic Text of Holy Quran. Surfer will also notice that successive editions have retained what was written by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad but with the changing atmosphere, Ahmadiyya Movement is changing its tactics. They want to cover up all the footsteps leading them away from Islam. Hence the new edition reprinted in 1984 from Islamabad in UK, under the direction of Mirza Tahir Ahmad, has altered what was written by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad on the pretext that it was a typing error. Amazing that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad did not attempt to correct this typing error during his lifetime nor anyone else attempted to correct it in the last 100 years although several editions have come out of these writings. Another surprising thing is that the same error has been repeated in different books! Typist must have been very cautious to repeat the same typing error for different verses in various books.

Alteration in the Meanings of Holy Quran

There are plenty of such examples. The most famous being the verse 33:40:

"Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Apostle of God, and the Seal of the Prophets: and God has full knowledge of all things."

Contrary to what Holy Prophet has told us about the Finality of Prophethood and what Muslims right from the time of Syedna Muhammad  till today have consistently believed, and will continue to believe InshaAllah till the Day of Judgement, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad and his creed tell us that: No! No! This Seal (Khatam) is not the seal of Finality of Prophethood, it is the seal of approval of future prophets.

But then, after sneaking through this back door of prophethood, Mirza Ghulam closes it again by saying:

"Blessed is he who has recognised me. Of all the paths to God I am the Last Path, and of all his Lights, I am the last Light. Unfortunate is he who forsakes me, because without me all is darkness". (Kashti-e-Nooh, Roohani Khazain, vol.19, p.61)

What do you call such a man, who steals the title Khatam-un-Nabieen from the Holy Prophet?

Another example of alteration in the meanings:

Alteration in the application of verse of Quran

Holy Quran is full of verses in which Allah is praising His Most beloved Prophet Muhammad. Those who are reading the Quran are familiar with such verses.

For example:

"'Howa allzi arsala rasoolahu bil huda' He (Allah) is the one who has sent His Messenger withguidance...." (al-Quran 9:33)"'Subhan allazi asra be 'abdehee ....'Glorified be He (Allah) who took His Servant on the Journey by Night from Masjid alHaram to Masjid alAqsa...'" (al-Quran 17:1)"'qul in kuntum tuhibboonal Llaha fa al-tabe'oonee...' Say (O Muhammad!) If you really love Allah, then follow me..." (al-Quran 3:31)"'Inna fatahna laka fathun mubeena...' Verily! We have given You (O Muhammad) a menifest victory...." (al-Quran 48:1-2)"'Ya Seen wa alQuran alHakeem. Innaka la minal mursaleen....' Yaseen! By the Quran, full of wisdom. Truly You (O Muhammad) are one of the Messengers...." (al-Quran 36:1-3)"'Inna a'atainaaka alKauser...' Verily! We have granted you (O Muhammad!) a river in Paradise..." (al-Quran 108:1)"'wa Maa arsalnaaka illa Rehmatal Lil 'alameen' And We have not sent you (O Muhammad!) save as a Mercy for All the Worlds." (al-Quran 21:107)

For the last 1400 years Muslims of all schools of thoughts have unanimously agreed that these and other such verses are revealed by Allah exclusively to glorify, praise and exalt His Most Beloved Prophet Muhammad , the Prophet of Islam.

However open Haqeeqatul Wahi in volume 22 of Roohani Khazain and from pages 77 to 111 you will find a shameless plagiarization of the Quranic Text. These according to Mirza Ghulam, are samples of his revelations/inspirations. Readers who have read Holy Quran will immediately recognize the extent of wholesale plagiarization by the founder of Ahmadiyya Movement. Among them, are those exclusive verses mentioned above, revealed by Allah to glorify Holy Prophet Muhammad  but Mirza had the audacity to claims that God is now revealing these verses again to praise him!

Click here for some of the scanned pages of Haqeeqatul Wahi.

Other examples:

Allah sends His Wahi to Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) glorifying Him and His Companions in Holy Quran:

"'Mohammadur Rasoolullah wal lazeena m'ahoo, ashiddao 'ala alkuffare rohamao bainahum' Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves. " (Al-Quran 48:29)

But Mirza's WAHI informs him:

Dear Sisters & Brothers in Islam!

I greet you all with the gracious greetings of Islam,

Assalamo alaikum wa rehmatullah wa barakaatohu

Contrary to the propaganda of Ahmadiyya Movement, in the following pages, I will present the proofs of how the founder of this Movement, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani, have delibrately and maliciously altered the text of Holy Quran, its meanings and their application.

Those who follow Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, be they call themselves Ahmadi or Qadiani or Mirzai or Lahori and yet believe themselves to be Muslims and the servant of holy Prophet Muhammad http://alhafeez.org/rashid/alter/saws.gif , I request theed to read these lines carefully, verify the proofs given here and if they still feel contented with following a man bearing such beliefs, then please stop decieving others and yourself, give your cult any name other than Islam and Muslims will happily leave you and pray that in this life and hereafter may you rest with Mirza Ghulam till eternity. Ameen.

WAAHI or PLAGIARIZATION

Some Examples of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad's misappropriations!

Dear Readers!

Following are the samples of the so-called revelation of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian. We have taken the exact wordings from his various books. Within brackets are given the corresponding reference from Holy Quran alongwith the books from these quotations are taken. This saying of Mirza Ghulam is worth keeping in mind before proceeding to read these 'WAAHI' of Mirza Ghulam:

"And just as I believe in the Quran, similarly without a difference of a dot I believe in that WAHI which has come to me.... And I can swear standing in the Holy Ka'aba that the Pious Wahi that comes to me is the Words of the same God who had sent it to Hazrat Musa and Hazrat Eisa and Hazrat Muhammad pbuh." (Eik Ghalti ka Azala, Roohani Khazain vol.18 p.210)

"I say with swearing upon God that I believe in these inspirations in the same way as I believe in Quran and other books of God. And just as I consider Quran undoubtedly and surely the book of God, similarly I believe that that wahi which descends upon me is the word of God." (Haqeetqatul Wahi, Roohani Khazain vol.22 p.220)

"I have similar faith in my Wahi as on Holy Quran and Torah." (Arba'een No.4 , Roohani Khazain vol.17 p.454)

"and the Word of God descended so much on me that if it is collected it will not be less than 20 parts." (Haqeeqat-ul-Wahi, Roohani Khazain vol.22 p.407)

AND NOW THE SAMPLES OF MIRZA'S WAHI WHICH ACCORDING TO HIM ARE NOW GLORIGYING HIM. PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE THOSE VERSES WHICH HAVE BEEN REVEALED TO GLORIFY SYEDNA MUHAMMAD OR OTHER PROPHETS:

·    (Haqeeqat-ul-Wahi)

Al-Quran 3:31- "Say: (O Muhammad!) If ye love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you.

"Say: If you love Allah, come follow me so that God will also love you." (Haqeeqat-ul-Wahi, Roohani Khazain vol.22 p.82)

"Tell them that if you love Allah then come. Adopt my following i.e. tread my way (Ahmadiyya Movement) which is the Majestic Truth of Islam." (Haqeeqat-ul-Islam, Roohani Khazain vol.5 p.165)

Footnote: "This is time to the for our Jama'at that God's love is only linked to this that you become perfect follower and not a trace of opposition remains." (Roohani Khazain vol.17 p.61)

·  (Tazkirah p.500, 2nd Edition)

al-Quran 48:29 - Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves.

"Then in this same book (Braheen-e-Ahmadiyya) near this conversation there is this Wahi of Allah: "Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are hard against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves". In this WAHI of God I have been called Muhammad as well as Messenger." (Eik Ghalti ka Izala, Roohani Khazain vol. 18 p.207)

·  (Tazkirah p.500, 2nd Edition)

Al-Quran 61:9 - It is He Who has sent His Apostle (Muhammad) with Guidance and the Religion of Truth, that he may proclaim it over all religions.

"He it is Who has sent His Messenger (this humble self) with the guidance and the Religion of Truth, for this reason that He may make it triumph over all religions." (Tazkirah p.500, 2nd Edition)

"Those conversations of Allah which have been published in Braheen-e-Ahmadiyya, there is this WAHI of Allah: 'It is He Who has sent His Apostle with Guidance and the Religion of Truth, that he may proclaim it over all religion', In it I have been distinctly called Rasool (Messenger)." (Eik Ghalti ka Izala, Roohani Khazain vol.18 p.206)

·  (Arba'een No. 3)

Al-Quran 53.3-4 - "Nor does He (Muhammad) speaks of (his own) desire; It is naught save an inspiration that is inspired."

"Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. It is but a Revelation revealed by God." (Arba'een No. 3, Roohani Khazain vol.17 p.426)

·

Al-Quran 7:158 - "Say: (O Muhammad) O Mankind! Lo! I am the Messenger of Allah to you all."

"Say: O mankind! I am the Messenger of Allah to you all." (Tazkirah p.352, 4th Edition)

"God addressed Him (Muhammad) with { Say: (O Muhammad) O mankind! I am the Messenger of Allah to you all}, but despite all diversified instructions from Hazrat Adam to Hazrat Eisa being amassed in Quran, the aim of this verse { Say: O mankind! I am the Messenger of Allah to you all} did not materialize in the lifetime of Holy Prophet, because complete dissemination was dependent on this fact that in all different countries that is Asia and Europe and Africa and America and to all the remote corners of Earth, the message of Quran should have reached in the lifetime of Holy Prophet and that was impossible ….. rather until 1257 Hijri (approx. 1800 AD), complete resources for dissemination were non-existent and until this time the whole of America and most of Europe was far away from the Quranic Call and its proofs…. Thus practically before these days, the whole world never received invitation to Islam because of non-availability of resources for dissemination and the language barrier was a hindrance…..thus according to this verse {Say: O mankind! I am the Messenger of Allah to you all} it was required that the SECOND ADVENT of Holy Prophet and all his servants … requested Holy Prophet that: O Messenger of Allah! We, your servants are here to fulfil the obligation of dissemination with our might and soul. Please come and fulfil this task because you had claimed that you have come for the whole mankind…… then the Spirituality of Holy Prophet answered: Look! I am coming as RE-INCARNATION (Burooz), but I will come in India …. Then His spirituality selected such a person for himself who resembled him in habits and manners and courage and human compassion and gave him the names of Ahmad and Muhammad … so that it may be understood that his coming is precisely the coming of Holy Prophet . ….. These are the proofs which clearly testify on me being the Promised Messiah and Mahdi." (Thofa-e-Golravia, Roohani Khazain vol.17 pp.260-265)

(SubhanAllah! This so-called claimant of prophethood and self proclaimed Second Advent of Holy Prophet was so ignorant that he did not know, that not 1800 AD, rather centuries earlier, the Message of Islam had spread to all corners of Earth. Strong Muslim communities were present in Americas even before Columbus discovered the New World. But perhaps his God did not inform him of such facts!!)

"Lo! Those who swear allegiance unto thee (Muhammad) swear allegiance only unto Allah. The Hand of Allah is over their hands." (Haqeeqat-ul-Wahi, Roohani Khazain vol.22 p.83)

"Say: I am only a human being like yourselves. My Lord reveals unto me that your God is only One God." (al-Quran l8:110) (Haqiqat-ul-Wahi, Roohani Khazain vol.22 p.85)

Deceitful Translations of the Holy Qur'an into Foreign Languages

Submitted by Anonymous

Introduction/Objective

In the ongoing effort to ensure people are depending on Reliable Qur'an translations, research has been undertaken into the various translations of the Holy Qur'an in different languages. This research involves locating translations in a given language, followed by looking into the background of the translator, authority, or group behind the translation. This is necessary in order to ascertain whether there is any sectarial bias or motive in mis-translating for the benefit of a specific group or sect.

52 And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other).

53 But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself.

The Holy Qur'an, 23.52-53 (Al-Mumenoon [The Believers])

78. There is among them a section who distort the Book with their tongues: (As they read) you would think it is a part of the Book, but it is no part of the Book; and they say, "That is from Allah," but it is not from Allah: It is they who tell a lie against Allah, and (well) they know it!

The Holy Qur'an, 3.78 (Aal-E-Imran [The Family of Imran])

Qur'an translations which are to be avoided are the ones which pose a threat to the integrity of the Holy Qur'an as revealed from the Angel Jibreel (Gabriel) to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

28 (It is) a Qur'an in Arabic, without any crookedness (therein): in order that they may guard against Evil.

The Holy Qur'an, 39.28 (Az-Zumar [The Troops, Throngs])

Since the Qur'an is intended as a message of truth to mankind, it is imperitive that we do our best to avoid mis-translations or alterations (even in translations), which alter and detract from the true meaning.

9 We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption).

The Holy Qur'an, 15.9 (Al-Hijra [Al-Hijra, Stoneland])

Mis-translations in foreign languages are an extremely serious concern since the reader will be learning in their native language, in most cases unaware of the original Arabic content. This places the reader in a vulnerable position as they will be exposed to false pre-conceptions of Islam. It is therefore essential that translations convey the true meaning of God's message to mankind rather than serve the interest of gaining a particular sect more members.

As research continues any translations that show signs of mis-translation or being affiliated with or undertaken by any sect/group known to mis-translate the Holy Book, are listed herein. As a result, this do*****ent is likely increase in size over time.

Dr. Rashad Khalifa - "International Submitters" - Masjid Tucson, Arizona USA

This group focuses on the mathematic significance of the Number 19 in the Holy Qur'an. Whilst this is already evident (and recorded in the Holy Qur'an), they mischeviously use this to support their misguided campaign, mixing truth with falsehood in order to achieve their objectives.

30 Over it are Nineteen.

31 And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind.

32 Nay, verily: By the Moon,

33 And by the Night as it retreateth,

34 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,-

35 This is but one of the mighty (portents),

36 A warning to mankind,-

37 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;-

The Holy Qur'an, 74.30-37 (Al-Muddaththir [The Cloaked one])

(Above): The Qur'an already states the significance of the Number 19.

Rashad DELETES TWO VERSES (Verses 9:128-129 in Surat At-Tawbah [Repentance, Dispensation]) and yet the counts of selected words do multiply by number 19, as they did before!

They refute both the Hadith and Sunnah referring to them as "Satanic Innovations". Also note that they reject the Sunnah, which is the teaching of the Prophet passed down from generation to generation (such as how to perform Ablution, Prayer), and that they refute the Hadith in entirety not taking into account the "Mutawatir" (authentic hadith) with proven Isnad (Chain of narration) directly to the Prophet (pbuh).
